Who says "summer in the city" can't be fun?

If you read my blog article about the 5 Cool Activities to try this Summer in Metro Manila, you would say that "summer in the city" is definitely fun.

But summer is not yet over! Last May 16 and 17, Banana Peel takes fun under the sun from the beaches, right here at the metro to celebrate the summer good vibes through its "Summer in the City" event at the UP Town Center.

I was invited to be part of this fun activity with my fellow flip flop lovers. Yes, I love flip flops and you will notice this everytime I travel. I always make sure to take a photo of my slippers in my adventures. (Hindi ko alam kung bakit, basta gusto ko lang. Medyo emotional kasi siya tingnan. Haha)

Going back to the event, Banana Peel features five activity areas for its loyal customers to enjoy (medyo mainit nga lang kaya pawisan ako. HAHA. Kung alam ko lang, sana nag trunks nalang ako para summer na summer ang outfit! ☺ )

1. Adventure Central 

First stop is the Adventure Central where customers can play with all the oversized classic games like Jenga, Tic Tac Toe, and Snakes & Ladders.

2. Fashion-Forward Style

Second, Banana Peel prepared an all out treat to its loyal customer where they get free manicure, makeover, face painting and even a hair braiding.

3. Chill Square

Next area is the Chill Square where customers can take time and relax with an afternoon acoustic performances plus exciting raffle prizes and stage games (Oh diba, #Laboracay lang ang peg!)

4. Bite Yard

Of course, summer wouldn't be complete without (free) refreshments!

5. Carnival Block

Lastly, Banana Peel made the event more enjoyable with fun activities like ring toss, table drop, yard pong and duck hunt PLUS an interactive talk about marine life and conservation brought by WWF Philippines.

Overall, it was a successful event! (Sana next year ulit! Hahaha)
